Why does rice use seed treatment?

At present, the Seed Dressing (seed treatment) is mainly use in wheat, corn, cotton, peanuts, soybeans, while the application of Seed Dressing (seed treatment) in rice is very small, even less than 5% of the Seed Dressing (seed treatment) market. The main reason is that rice, as a paddy field crop, is greatly different from wheat, corn, cotton, peanut, soybean and other dry land crops. The Seed Dressing is mostly water-soluble film-forming agent, which dissolves quickly in water and will not affect the germination of dry land crop seeds. For paddy rice, the effect is obviously reduced, and the use of water-insoluble film former will affect the seed germination. Therefore, rice becomes the crop with the lowest Seed Dressing rate.

Seed soaking and seed dressing is the same?

Seed soaking can not replace seed dressing. Seed soaking can not prevent insects, drive away birds, avoid mice, and resist freezing, nor can it achieve the effect of complete seedlings, strong roots, strong seedlings, and increase production.

Seed dressing can promote the development of root system, which is one of the effective means to increase production.

The seed dressing used in the direct seeding paddy field can drive away birds and mice, reduce the amount of seed and reduce the cost of seed. At the same time, it can effectively prevent frost damage, herbicide damage, achieve the effect of complete seedlings, strong roots, strong seedlings, and increase production.

A large number of underground pests (such as rice weevil, rice water weevil, rice mud worm, etc.) are caused by high residue of rice stubble harvested by machinery and returning straw to the field. The use of seed dressing can effectively kill the underground pests. Seed borne and soil borne diseases can only be solved by seed dressing. Imidacloprid and thiamethoxam have higher insecticidal activity through the metabolites of plant root internalization, which are crucial for soil or seed treatment.

Rice seedling rot, Rice Seedling Blight, rice blast, phytophthora, bakanae, Rice sclerotinia,  Rice Chilling Injury, and high temperature burning are the six major diseases and two major obstacles restricting rice production. At present, the only solution is to use seed dressing.

Whether seed dressing can prevent Black-streaked Dwarf?

The occurrence degree of rice black streaked dwarf in southern China varies greatly different from planting methods, from heavy to light is: water direct seeding, dry direct seeding, fertilizer bed dry breeding with hand planting, plastic plate dry breeding with throwing planting, plastic plate dry breeding with hand planting.

The incidence of rice black streaked dwarf in southern China were significantly different among the length of rice growth period and different rice varieties.

Benefits of using seed dressing in rice?

The use of seed dressing has a high seedling emergence rate and a strong seedling. Long duration, no need to use pesticides in field. Direct seeding can reduce once medication of thrips, leafhoppers and rice plant hoppers. Promote the development of root system (disease resistance and plant health), enhance the crop resistance, effectively help rice resist frost damage, burn seedlings, reduce and avoid the occurrence of rotten seedlings, and effectively prevent the damage caused by herbicides. It has obvious growth regulation effect, strong roots and strong seedlings, promotes growth, improves seed setting rate, and greatly improves crop yield.

Performance of Rice after Using Seed Dressing ?

The field performance of high-quality and regular seed dressing after use is seedling stage: seedling emergence is neat, stem is strong, root system is developed, plant height is shorter than normal rice, and there is basically no harm from leafhoppers, plant hoppers and thrips. Field stage: After transplanting, it turns green quickly, with thick stems, strong white roots, more yellow roots and more tillers. Later stage: the stems are strong and the effective panicles increase significantly.
